Welcome to my Wicked World

This project is a fine art painting I’ve named “Figurative Theatre”. This is the first out of a series of 10. My goal was to visualize a vision I once had while I was sketching, and bringing it to life through creating an entrance into my mind. A window to a multidimensional constantly confronting and overflowing universe of characters that reflect various personal narratives intertwined into one dichotomous overwhelming view. The theatre acts as a balancing gateway to both energies of dark and light, good and evil. The point of the piece is to blur all lines, and take you on a trip. The characters each represent allegorical emotions or metaphorical personifications of my inner savior and saboteurs. Creating this piece was a therapy for me, a way to beautify my past and put it to rest. To show my stories through symbolism. The sides of the painting are portals into more worlds leading to future paintings, telling unspoken stories. Each painting from the series (as this one) will have its own custom designed and painted frame, to enhance the viewing experience, narrative, and overall vision. This painting represents my past, the frame represents my future and the unknown ahead.
